I have been woefully remiss in getting results posted for the last couple of Impromptu games, and I apologize for slighting the winners. I'm going to be a bit brief here just to get the recognition out there for the great players who play in, and the fantastic finishers who win, this great game.
June closed with a couple of great games, which saw repeat winners take the top spots. On the 23rd, it was Nynus dominating the final table, and he would take down his sixth Impromptu Cup on this final hand against cainiac1 . . . .
With his sixth win, he moves into a tie with Shyne42 at number four on the all-time winners' list. A big hand to him for a great game played, and for cainiac1 putting in the valiant effort to deny him this victory!
And a big thanks to everyone who came out for this game . . . .
And the month of June would end with yet another great game. This time, it would be FUCard311 taking his third Impromptu Cup. This was an extraordinary feat, as he and I entered heads up play with me holding a 3 to 1 chip advantage, which I watched helplessly as it was counterfeited away . . . .
But Rick played great and kept the pressure on, and put me down to a 3 to 1 deficit, before knocking me out for my 12th runner up finish, denying me my 11th win, on this hand . . . .
They say great competition makes great champions, clearly FUCard311 took down a great opponent for a great win!! ;)
