Results for 4.21.13

Eighteen 'late night degenerates' made it out to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for another running of The Impromptu! Once again, I was joined on LP Radio by my lovely co-host Tami as we called the action at the tables.

A couple of new faces at the table joining our group of regulars made for a great game, and a chance to get some new names on the winner's cup. The early action took out many tough players, and my elimination in tenth place brought us to a final table with these nine fine players . . .

My cohost, T bone9 would be the first to leave the final table, followed by four time winner SuddenMoves. Victory continued to elude QTPIE1369 and she was eliminated in seventh place, with cainiac1 following closely behind in sixth place.

Two of the original degenerates, four time winner Eirkur and nine time winner zix zix would be eliminated in fifth and fourth respectively, with zix zix being the bubble finisher of the night.

DavidMavrikakis squeeked into the money with a min-cash, leaving Burkey76 and LeanToo133 to do battle heads up. That battle would come to a conclusion on this final hand, with Burkey76 taking the title, his 3rd, with top pair . . . .

Congratulations to Burkey as he becomes the 21st player to win a third Impromptu title!!!

and a big hand for LeanToo133 for his runner up finish.

On behalf of my co-host and myself, I want to thank you all for continuing to support this great game!

Impromptu results for 4.14.13

Better late than never . . . .

Last week we enjoyed the company of twenty-four 'late night degenerates' around the virtual felts of Lock Poker for another great running of The Impromptu. Another remarkable field of great players continuing to make this a great game week in and week out. We thank you all for joining us at the tables, and for tuning in to our live broadcast on LuvinPoker Radio.

We played down to a final table with these nine fine players . . .

The final table was a great battle with no less than five players with multiple victories in this game, including an appearance by the HustlinDiva herself, absent from this game for some time now. She would put on a show as well, pretty much dominating the table and ultimately getting heads up with four time winner SuddenMoves for the coveted Impromptu Cup. The game would come to a dramatic finish on this final hand . . . .

So our congratulations goes out to Judy, aka HustlinDiva, winning her third Impromptu title!!!

And a big hand for SudddenMoves, who came so close to his fifth win.

And on behalf of The Impromptu, a big thanks to all the players who came out and made it a great game!

Impromptu results for 4.7.13

In what I believe was the largest field since moving to Lock Poker, twenty-seven 'late night degenerates' came out last week for The Impromptu. In what was yet another fantastic game, we saw a lot of our previous winners making early exits, including our broadcast team of curtinsea and T bone9.

Lil MsPushy would run into the pocket Kings of cainiac1 and get felted in 10th place, which would bring us to a final table with these nine fine players . .

zix zix made a move with the short stack, shoving his pocket Jacks. DrRunGood1 made the call, but doubled him up. That put DrRunGood1 on the short stack, and he jammed on the next hand, only to be called and dominated by ImMaxima191. DrRunGood1 would finish in 9th place.

With only about 4 bb, zix zix once again made a shove, this time with AJ. StickyBuds made the call with pocket sevens, and improved to a set on the flop to eliminate zix zix in 8th place.

Suomidonk, now on the short stack, made his move with two suited cards, but ImMaxima191 made the call with a naked ace that would pair on the flop, sending Suomidonk to the rail in 7th place.

We went to the break with sa couple of very short stacks, and as soon as we returned, the chips started getting pushed into the middle. Cainiac1 was the first to make his move, but Hoosier Dadd was on the monster stack, and snapped him off with a suited King that was strong enough to take the hand and send cainiac1 to the rail as out 6th place finisher.

Leprekahn was next, shoving KT right into ImMaxima191's Big Slick, and finding himself on the rail, finishing in 5th place.

dalmar22 was doing his best to hang with the big stacks, After flopping a gutshot, he got most of his chips in on the flop. The turn was no help, and it went check check. The river paired for dalmar22 and he got it in the middle, but that river card also brought a straight for StickyBuds, and dalmar22 would finish on the bubble in 4th place..

Just two hands later, the two biggest stacks tangled in dramatic fashion. Hoosier Dadd got his stack in the middle with top pair, but StickyBuds had flopped a set, and that set would hold, eliminating Hoosier Dadd in 3rd place, and giving StickyBuds a huge chip lead.

Going into heads up play, StickyBuds was on a 4 to 1 chip lead, and he was determined to close out the game. It would be just six hands later when all the chips would go in the middle on the flop on this hand . . .

We congratulate StickBuds, who hoists his first ever Impromptu Cup! And a tip of the hat to ImMaxima191, who played a fantastic game to the end.

Join us again this week for another great Impromptu tourney!

Impromptu results for 3.31.13

Last week's Impromptu was EPIC!!

All eyes were on Shyne42, as he went for the 'three-peat,' having been victorious the previous two weeks. The three-peat has only been done once before in the Impromptu, but Shyne42 was strong all night, and it appeared to be within reach.

Starting an hour early this week, we had a smaller than normal field, but the action was just as tough, as the players fought for a seat at this final table . . . . .

I was the first to make an exit from the final table, when I got it in bad against QTPIE1369 and did not improve,  DavidMavrikakis would then follow, losing a huge pot to Shyne42, which shot him to a big chip lead. It looked like the three-peat was preordained.

FUCard311 made his final stand with pocket Jacks and was called by SHyne42's AJ. An ace on the flop and FUCard was sent to the rail in 7th place.

They played six handed for quite a while, with Shyne42 well out in front, Lucky_Lucy in a strong second place, and the others all around the 3k mark. Then Nynus made a strong move with J2, and got called by T bone9's Snowmen. This gutted Nynus, dropping him to 279 chips. And with the blinds/antes moving up to 250/500/50, Nynus was on the button with less than a SB left. All in was assured.

But Nynus would win that pot, chip up to 449, and get all in again. And Nynus would win that pot, chipping up to $1,632.

QTPIE1369 got cute with her remaining chips, only to see Shyne42 take them all away, relegating her to 6th place, and extending Shyne42's chip lead.

And then Nynus doubled again, this time through the chip leader.  Nynus gets it in with a naked Ace, and runs into the pocket Jacks of Shyne42. But an Ace on the turn keeps the drive to survive alive for Nynus!

SuddenMoves took a stab and ending Nynus' run, calling his next shove with suited connectors. But Nynus held an over pair, and his hand would actually improve to a straight on the river. This put SuddenMoves in Harm's way, and put Nynus second (momentarily) in chips. T bone9 would wrestle it away and give it back to him, but they were about to collide.

With 400 chips between them and with Nynus holding the edge, these two butted heads. T bone9 led out for a 2.5x raise, and Nynus made the call from the big blind. The flop came 5s,2c,Ad, and the money went in. T bone9 shows Kc Ac for top pair, and Nynus shows a bewildered table his 8s 2s for bottom pair. But you know, this is poker. And when you are golden enough to come back from less than a small blind, you know another deuce is on it's way. And when the 2d fell on the river, T bone9 was sent to the rail, and Nynus was now the chip leader.

SuddenMoves put his final chips in the middle and was called by a dominated Nynus, J8 vs J2. But yet another miracle deuce on the river would send SuddenMoves to the rail in 4th place.

Lucky_Lucy was seeing her stack run over by the two big stacks, and she made her stand only to have Shyne42 flop a full house (which would become quad kings on the river) and leave her drawing dead, and relegated to 3rd place.

And so the HU game begins. Five time winner Shyne42 one opponent away from the three-peat, against 4-time winner and survivor of the most amazing comeback in Impromptu history would do battle for all the glory.

Seat 1: Shyne42 ($12,600 in chips) DEALER
Seat 2: Nynus ($17,400 in chips)

Heads up, Shyne42 never seemed to get any traction, and Nynus pounded him down, taking the game on this final hand . . . .

Congrats guys!!! Thanks for giving us a game to remember, and thanks to everyone who tuned in on LuvinPoker Radio, and to all of the late night degenerates for keeping the good times rolling  :)
