Results for 8.18

Another great game last week, as the 'late night degenerates' once again did friendly battle on the virtual felts of Lock Poker, in what is by every measure the best game of the week every time!

We played down to a final table with these nine fine players . . . .

Your radio hosts came to the final table as the chip leaders, and secretly planned a dramatic heads up battle between us, but DavidMavrikakis seemed bent on getting the win for himself, and played his way ITM with us.

I would be spared the disgrace of another runner up finish when I was eliminated in 3rd place, leaving DavidMavrikakis and T bone9 dueling for the Cup. But in the end, it would come to this final hand . . .

Congratulations to DavidMavrikakis, winning his second Impromptu Title . . .

and a big hand to T bone9 on her runner up finish . . .

Impromptu results for August 11th, 2013

Trying hard to get back on track with results, and get them to you quicker.

We had eighteen late night degenerates come out this past weekend, and bring their best game in this very competitive battle for the coveted Impromptu Cup. One player stood out from the crowd by amassing a huge chip stack early on, and doing little but adding to it as the game wore on.

The final table consisted of these nine fine players . . . . 

As you can see from the screen shot, Zix Zix was well in front, with only island21 anywhere close. But that would change quickly, as Zix Zix would take all of island21's stack and eliminate him in 9th place. This gave Zix a humongous chip advantage, and the rest of the final table would get picked off one by one, leaving just 666_Devil with a chance to stop him from his tenth win, and to take the bounty offered for that deed.

But alas, it was not to be, and Zix Zix would eliminate 666_Devil as well, stomping the field in a most dominate fashion, and taking his tenth Impromptu title, and once again tying for the most wins ever in this great game.

Congratulations Wim on a fantastic victory!!

And well done 666_Devil in the runner up spot.

Impromptu results for August 4, 2013

Late, I know, and my apologies to all.

Seventeen late night degenerates took to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for another running of The Impromptu. Great to see the numbers coming back up, and for them to give us a great game. We would battle it down to a final table, with these nine fine players . . .

As the bubble broke, it was down to Leprekahn, Zix Zix, and myself. All proven winners with two dozen wins among them, it was sure to be a tough one. And with Zix having some 16.5K in chips, versus Leps 14K, my 3K stack seemed hopeless. But I put together some pots, ultimately knocking Zix Zix from the game, and denying him his tenth victory.

But this left me Heads Up against Leprekahn. This was the third time we have been heads up in this game, and this one would end with the same result as the previous two. An action turn that gave me two pair also filled his flush, and he faked me out enough to get me to commit my stack. There would be no 4-outter on the river, and Leprekahn would win his fifth Impromptu title.

Results for the 7.28.13 Impromptu

Fifteen of the 'late night degenerates' gathered on the virtual felts of Lock Poker for that weekly game we know as The Impromptu. Most of these players had already hoisted at least one of the coveted Cups, and the competition was tough as always. 

Six players would need to leave us before we could have a final table, which would comprise of these nine fine players . . . 

With Spacecase going out on the bubble, we were left with a tough three way battle between proven winners. Nynus would be the first of the three to the rail, while Halfcent2012 and DrRunGood1 would go on to battle heads up.

In the end, it would be DrRunGood1 doing just as his name implies, taking down his fifth Impromptu!
