Impromptu results for 1.27.13

Another great Impromptu is in the books, as the 'late night degenerates' once again took to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for the good times. This week, my cohost Tami and I were live and commercial free on LuvinPoker Radio, and we thank everyone for tuning in and allowing us to entertain you. A special thanks to Jen as well for hosting our broadcast.

Twenty-one players took the the tables and did battle for one of the nine seats at the final table. Those seats would eventually be filled by these nine fine players . . . . 

It definitely looked like ladies night at the final table, as we got four handed with DrRunGood1 was doing battle with 69belette69, WinJStar1, and polaris16. But one by one the ladies gave over their chips, with first 69belette69 and then WinJStar1 hitting the rail, leaving a heads up battle between polaris16 and DrRunGood1. But he would get  it in with the best of it on this final hand . . . .

Results for the Lock Poker debut of The Impromptu

The Impromptu made it's much anticipated debut on Lock Poker this past weekend, and the crowd of 'late night degenerates' that turned up for this first game exceeded my expectations. Not only was it a great crowd, as always, but we had one of the best games, concluding with one of the hardest fought Heads Up finishes in the history of this game.

We had twenty-three players come out for the game, and this group simply did not disappoint. We saw early chip leaders fall to the bottom, then regain momentum once again. We also saw the mighty crumple to the rail, as dreams of hoisting the Impromptu Cup were dashed by the deck. After my lovely co-host was felted in tenth place, we were left with a nine-handed final table with these fine players . . . 

I could taste my record extending tenth victory it was so close, but my jam with AQ was countered by pocket Kings, and with no help from the board, I had to settle for third place. Which left us with an impressive final battle between ReykjavikIS, better known to this crowd as three time champion Eirkur, and Halfcent2012, a former Champion in his own right. These two battled hard for quite some time, before the edge finally found it's way over to ReykjavikIS, who managed to seal the deal on this final hand . . .

Congratulations E on winning the Inagural running of The Impromptu on Lock Poker, and a big hand to Ron for putting on a helluva fight in a runner up finish!!

Although we debuted on Lock Poker this weekend, The Impromptu was still in the LuvinPoker lobby one last time, and we did have sixteen loyal degenerates take to the tables there for one more fight. Some of our players even did double duty, and I would be remiss if I did not recognize that loyalty to this great game. And so I am awarding trophies to the winner and runner up of that game as well, congratulations to you on an outstanding performance, and thank you all so much for supporting The Impromptu. I hope to see everyone return for The Impromptu on Lock Poker next week, same as always. And remember to tell your friends, because one thing about this game, as always, "itsopen"

1.13 Impromptu results

The Impromptu is always an entertaining game, with great players having a good time at the tables. This past weekend was no exception, as twenty-four 'late night degenerates' made it out to the virtual felts of LuvinPoker for this great game. We also had the audio stream going on UStream, with curtinsea and ziximania bringing you the action, and hopefully entertaining you as well.

The final table was full of veterans, and only two of the ten players without an Impromptu title.But two players seemed destined to fight for the trophies this night, and indeed it would be jregis, looking for his first Impromptu title, vs last week's runner up burkey32, seeking his 2nd Cup, fighting heads up for the win.

But burkey32 would not be denied, and he would improve upon last week's finish by taking his 2nd Impromptu title!!  Congratulations to our winner, and a tip of the hat to our runner up!!

Impromptu results for 1.6.13

We had ourselves another fantastic game with the 'late night degenerates' this weekend, as 28 players made it out to the virtual felts of LuvinPoker. Once again, Tami (ziximania) and myself were live on UStream, doing our best to entertain everyone, including ourselves. Thank you everyone who tuned in for the banter. It's been fun doing and we will continue with this as long as there is interest.

The game was fantastic, to be sure. Everyone gave it there all, and the ten best this night would form up for this final table shot . . . 

The final table played for nearly an hour overall, but we saw seven players hit the rail in the first half of that. Fabolous1 had sucked out mightily a time or two (cough) to have a commanding chip stack, and he would make it to three handed play along with KManDeuce and burkey32.

But Fabolous1 would find himself on the rail in third, leaving KManDeuce and burkey32 to fight for the win. And fight they did! These guys gave us a great Heads Up match lasting a couple of levels, but ultimately it would be KManDeuce scooping the chips and taking his first Impromptu title!!!!
