Results for 5.19.13

Nineteen faithful 'late night degenerates' came out for The Impromptu last week and gave us a fantastic game, as always. All the usual suspects were there doing battle for the coveted Impromptu Cup, and the competition did not disappoint.

Dalmar22 made a hasty exit, bringing us to two full tables of action, and we whittled down the field one by one, with cainiac1 finally being eliminated in tenth place, bringing us to a final table with these nine fine players . . . 

With twenty-nine titles between them, these players had no shortage of winning experience. Burkey76 would not be joining the cadre of 4-time winners tonight, as he would bust out in 9th place. Leprekahn was the first of four 4-time winners at this final table to fall, as he would go out in 8th place. I would follow close behind, eliminated in 7th place. DrRunGood1, another 4-time winner, would be the next to fall, as he would finish in 6th place. And Eirkur2, also with four Impromptu wins, would follow to the rail in 5th place.

Halfcent2012 would pop the bubble, being sent to the felt in 4th place. Island21 fought the good fight, but had to settle for the min-cash in 3rd place.

The heads up battle was tough, as SuddenMoves used his stack advantage to keep the pressure on DavidMavrikakis. We knew the money would be getting in the middle sooner rather than later, and our game came to a conclusion on this final hand . . . .

Our congratulations go out to SuddenMoves, winning his 5th Impromptu title!!!

And a big hand to DavidMavrikakis, who gave a great showing against constant uber aggression.

Results for 5.12.13

Last week we had another great outing, as the 'late night degenerates' gathered once again at the virtual felts of Lock Poker for the great weekly game we call the Impromptu. Thanks to the generosity of Shyne42, we had five $2 bounties in the game.

Eighteen players made the start, and the action got hot right away, as the previous week's winner found herself the first one felted this week.

We watched as former champions one by one fell by the wayside, until half the field had been eliminated, bringing us to a final table with these nine fine players . . . . 

My co-host and two time winner of The Impromptu would survive the bubble and make it into the money, but her game would end in 3rd place, leaving us with a heads up battle between FUCard311 and SpaceCase, each a holder of one prior Impromptu Cup. It would all come to a head, though, with this final hand . . . 

Congratulations to FUCard311 on your second Impromptu victory!!!!

And a big hand to SpaceCase on your runner up finish!!!

And I would like to thank everyone for coming out and continuing to make this game the best event of the week!!  

Results for 5.5.13

Another great Impromptu last week, as twenty-one 'late night degenerates' made it out to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for this fine game. I ran into some technical difficulties in the last half of the game/show, so I don't have any screen shots for you. But it was good to see 'MonkeyLovah' aka TuckyBud in the game for the first time since it's move to Lock, and she set about making her debut a victorious one.

And when push finally came to shove, she would have all the chips in front of her, and her first ever Impromptu Cup!! Congratulations Lisa on a job well done, and we hope you had a good time along the way. A big hand to burkey76, who narrowly missed picking up another first place. Always a threat in this game.

I'd like to thank everyone who came out to play, you are some fine players and that is what makes this game so competitive each week. Thanks for supporting the Impromptu and we'll see you tonight!!

Results for 4.28.13

Fun times again as the 'late night degenerates' gathered on the virtual felts of Lock Poker for the weekly thrill we know as the Impromptu. And once again, Curt and Tami were 'on the air' at LuvinPoker radio calling the game as they saw it.

And what Tami saw was an early trip to the rail at the hands of her cohost, QQ vs JJ  :)

And that set the stage, and the battle was on. Eighteen players made the start, but only nine could make the final table, and as the competition was thinned, I found myself, for the second week in a row, going out in tenth place and breaking the final table bubble. We would reseat with these nine fine players . . . . 

The fight for the glory was tough, but there was also a little money on the line, and one player would come up just short, as Island21 would break the money bubble, eliminated on this hand . . . 

The top three, all members of the Angels Clan, hold some twelve Impromptu titles between them. They all know how to win this game, so doing that would surely be a challenge. First to fall was DrRunGood1, his run good having run out  :)  This left us Heads up with Shyne42 and Lil Ms Pushy.

But this night was all Shyne42's as he would take victory, his sixth, on this final hand . . . . 

Congratulations to Shyne42, as he becomes only the fourth player to win six Impromptu titles!!

And a great runner up finish for Lil Ms Pushy!!!!
