Impromptu results for 3.24.13

Last week's game was another fantastic outing with the 'late night degenerates' as eighteen fierce competitors took to the virtual felts of Lock Poker to battle for the coveted Impromptu Cup. Last week's game also featured special guest and Lock Pro Rick Pereira, whose elimination in 10th place would bring us to the final table. However, we also lost SuddenMoves simultaneously, bringing us to the final table with just eight great players . . .

Two players would dominate the final table, as both sought to up their trophy count and be among the top players in Impromptu history. As they took turns eliminating the other players, it would finally come down to a heads up battle between nine-time winner 'zix zix' and four-time winner 'Shyne42.'

zix zix was seeking to tie for the most titles at ten, while Shyne42 was looking to move away from the ten other players holding station with four wins. When the dust settled, it would indeed be Shyne42, taking his fifth Impromptu Cup, and for the second week in a row, on this final hand . . . .

A big congrats to our competitors for giving us a great tournament right to the end. My thanks to Rick for joining us, and to all the great players who keep this game up there as the highlight of the week. See you all again tonight!!

Impromptu results for 3.17.13

Another great game this past weekend, as twenty-two 'late night degenerates' took to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for another running of The Impromptu. Great to see the crowd coming together once again, building the field each week. I only expect it to continue to grow.

Our players battled it out for a seat at the final table that would ultimately be populated by these nine fine players . . . .

As you can see, my on-air cohost T bone9 was the first elimination from the final table, when she got her final chips in the middle with A7, only to be out kicked, and ultimately out flopped, by DavidMavrikakis, felting her in 9th place.

LuckyLucy was quickly blinding down, and made her final stand with KT, only to 69balette69 flop two pair with her AQ. With no Jack on the turn or the river, LuckyLucy would finish in 8th place.

69balette69 would get the next elimination as well, as cainiac1 got his chips in with pocket Jacks against her pocket Queens. And with a Queen on the flop, all hope was lost, and cainiac1 would be our 7th place finisher.

Nynus got his remaining stack in the middle with KJ, and faced the pocket Nines of Shyne42. No love would come for Nynus, and a Nine on the river sealed his fate, eliminating him in 6th place.

burkey76 faced a similar fate, shoving his J7 sooted right into the bullets of Shyne42.  The pocket Aces would hold, and burkey76 would finish in 5th place.

DrRunGood1 had his run good run out on him, as his A7 of hearts would be out flopped by the QJ of Shyne42. DrRunGood1 would be our bubble finisher in 4th place.

Our top three finishers each received a $2.20 buy-in to the LPP Lockdown, courtesy of NotBatgirl. Thanks Jess for  the bonus bucks for our ITM finishers!!

DavidMavrikakis had a cold run, and ultimately put his final few big blinds in with TJ of diamonds. But Shyne42 was there with the call with a naked Ace, and flopped a pair that would hold, eliminating DavidMavrikakis in 3rd place.

Our heads up battle between Shyne42 and 69balette69 was exciting to watch, as these two previous winners did battle to add to their trophy case. But there can only be one winner, and the game would come down to this final hand, with Shyne42 winning with the better kicker . . .

Congratulations Shyne42 on your fourth Impromptu Cup!! and kudos to 69balette69 on a great game and a solid runner up finish!

And a big thanks to all of our players, thank you for joining in the game and listening in on the broadcast on LuvinPoker Radio. Join us again next week for another fantastic game. We will have some bounties next week if we top this week's 22 players, so invite your friends!!

Impromptu results for 3.10.13

Daylight Saving Time dealt the 'late night degenerates' a small blow last week, as our game kicked off an hour prematurely, catching many of the faithful out of the game. But we still managed to get a baker's dozen dedicated players to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for another great game. And a big thanks to 'Lil Ms Pushy' for filling in for Tami on the broadcast.

It would take just 36 minutes to eliminate four players, and then take to a final table with nine fine players, with the following seats and stacks . . .

Seat 1: Hoosier Dadd (630 in chips)
Seat 2: cainiac1 (7,784 in chips)
Seat 3: DavidMavrikakis (2,346 in chips)
Seat 4: Lil Ms Pushy (1,721 in chips)
Seat 5: zix zix (7,492 in chips)
Seat 6: curtinsea (513 in chips)
Seat 7: WinJStar1 (1,510 in chips)
Seat 8: msdebbie (2,764 in chips)
Seat 9: QTPIE1369 (1,240 in chips)

zix zix was on a quest, it seemed, to carry on our rival for most Impromptu victories. And he was in fine form this night, coming to the final table with a large chip stack, equaled only by the stack of cainiac1, who himself was looking for another Cup. Those two big stacks would whittle away the field and find themselves heads up for the trophies.

And on the final hand, cainiac1 would find himself all in and covered, and dominated, in an AT vs KT showdown that ended like this . . .

And so zix zix moves back within one of the all time lead, winning his ninth Impromptu title!! Congratulations Wim on a fine finish to a great game!

Impromptu results for 3.3.13

Twelve dedicated 'late night degenerates' came out to the virtual felts of Lock Poker for this past week's running of The Impromptu. A fun time at the tables is a guarantee with this group of players, and this game was no exception.

It took forty minutes for three players to be eliminated and bring us to the final table. Holdempimp69 would be the first out, followed by FUCard311 and Eirkur2 respectively. These nine fine players would make the final table, with the blinds at 30/60 and the stacks as indicated.

Seat 1: cainiac1 (1,757 in chips)
Seat 2: QTPIE1369 (2,152 in chips)
Seat 3: zix zix (1,598 in chips)
Seat 4: Lil Ms Pushy (5,401 in chips)
Seat 5: Shyne42 (1,615 in chips)
Seat 6: Lucky_Lucy (2,465 in chips)
Seat 7: 69belette69 (3,033 in chips)
Seat 8: T bone9 (4,787 in chips)
Seat 9: curtinsea (1,192 in chips)

We played nine handed for a good half hour,  until cainiac1 got his chips in the middle against the flopped trip-kings of Lil Ms Pushy to finish in 9th.

QTPIE1369 would follow two hands later, coming out on the bottom of a 3-way pot with curtinsea and Shyne42 to finish in 8th.

Lucky_Lucy saw her stack dwindling and got the remainder in with an ace high, but she was out flopped and would hit the rail in 7th place.

curtinsea's luck would run out, as I jammed my 6bb stack UTG, but right into the Pocket Jacks of T bone9. My hand would not improve and curtinsea finished in 6th place.

zix zix made his stand with two face cards, but he was called and beat, sending him to the rail in 5th place.

69belette69 would be out bubble finisher in 4th place, leaving three Angels ITM battling for the trophy. T bone9 found herself put to the rail in 3rd place, leaving us with a great heads up battle between Shyne42 and Lil Ms Pushy that would come to a climax on this hand . . .

Congratulations to Lil Ms Pushy on a fantastic finish to a great game, taking the title once more! And a big hand to Shyne42 for his runner up finish.

Join us again next for another great game and the good times we come to expect at The Impromptu!
